Rallye des Vieux Pistons

Les 24 et 25 mai 2025, Gilbert Warning et Antoine Pilette, avec son association Les Amis du Château de Vaujours, organisent le Rallye des Vieux Pistons, promenade touristique, dans le Val de Loire pour les automobiles d'avant 1905 et les monocylindres/bicylindres jusqu'à 1914.

Nous avons 25 équipages, principalement d'avant 1905, avec des participants de 9 pays différents! Quel plaisir d'avoir autant de voitures anciennes pour la première édition d'un nouveau rallye!

• Le samedi 24 mai, les participants partiront du Domaine de la Trigalière à Ambillou pour la première étape au Château de Vaujours à Château-la-Vallière, en passant par le bourg de Courcelles-de-Touraine, entre 9h et 10h;

• A 10h30, les automobiles s'élanceront pour le déjeuner au Château de Marcilly-sur-Maulne, en passant par le centre des communes de Saint-Laurent-de-Lin et Lublé;

• Ensuite, cap à l’Est vers le Château d’Hodebert à Saint-Paterne-Racan pour un goûter. Les plus que centenaires auront 20 km à effectuer en deux heures entre 14h et 16h avec la traversée des bourgs de Braye-sur-Maulne et Villiers-au-Bouin;

• La journée se termine par le retour au Domaine de la Trigalière, effectué en plus ou moins une heure, avec une arrivée à Ambillou vers 17h30 via les centres de Saint-Paterne-Racan et Sonzay.

En cette fin de journée, les automobiles y seront exposées au public.

• Le dimanche 25 mai voit ce cortège démarrer pour la commune de Semblançay, par Sonzay et le hameau du Serrain entre 10h et midi, où le public pourra admirer ces machines dans le jardin de la mairie à l’heure du déjeuner;

• Ce repas signale la fin du Rallye des Vieux Pistons et l'après-midi apercevra ces automobiles rentrer à Ambillou en passant par le bourg de Pernay.

Un grand merci au Domaine de la Trigalière (où nous logerons,) au Château de Marcilly-sur-Maulne, au Château d'Hodebert, à la Mairie de Semblançay, au Château de Vaujours, à son association et aux nombreux bénévoles.

On May 24th and 25th, 2025, Gilbert Warning and Antoine Pilette, with his association Les Amis du Château de Vaujours, are organizing the Rallye des Vieux Pistons, a tourist ride in the Loire Valley for automobiles built before 1905 and single-cylinder/twin-cylinder cars up to 1914.

We have 25 teams, mostly pre-1905, with participants from nine different countries! What a pleasure to have so many vintage cars for the first edition of a new rally!

• On Saturday, May 24th, participants will depart from the Domaine de la Trigalière in Ambillou for the first leg at Château de Vaujours in Château-la-Vallière, passing through the village of Courcelles-de-Touraine, between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m;

• At 10:30 a.m., the cars will set off for lunch at the Château de Marcilly-sur-Maulne, passing through the town centers of Saint-Laurent-de-Lin and Lublé;

• Then, they will head east to the Château d'Hodebert in Saint-Paterne-Racan for a snack. Those over 100 years old will have to cover 20 km in two hours between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., passing through the towns of Braye-sur-Maulne and Villiers-au-Bouin;

• The day ends with the return to the Domaine de la Trigalière, completed in about an hour, arriving in Ambillou around 5:30 p.m. via the town centers of Saint-Paterne-Racan and Sonzay.

At the end of the day, the cars will be on public display.

• On Sunday, May 25th, this procession begins in the town of Semblançay, passing through Sonzay and the hamlet of Serrain between 10 a.m. and noon, where the public can admire these machines in the town hall garden at lunchtime.

• This meal marks the end of the Rallye des Vieux Pistons, and in the afternoon, these cars will return to Ambillou via the village of Pernay.
